We realised that parents didn't have any power at all when it came to choosing schools for their children. Often having to do painful research which didn't really yield much useful information.
Schools would sell one thing on social media and their websites, only to adopt a 'take it or leave it' approach once you had paid your fees. And changing your mind is costly — both financially and emotionally for your child.
We created School Reviews because we believe parents deserve better. We hope this platform helps parents get some leverage in the way they are treated and how schools are run.
We hope that schools that are honest and transparently work in the interest of their customers shine more. And we hope schools that have had a less than positive attitude when dealing with parents and students get an incentive to do better.
At the end of the day, we want the education sector in Zimbabwe to thrive and to benefit its stakeholders sustainably. This is a platform for parents, by parents — and we believe that together, we can make a difference.
